Shells

shells
These shells are some of my most treasured possessions. I have been collecting shells my whole life, and only keep the ones I find interesting, and love. I usually leave a beach with a huge bag full, then sort out the ones I choose to keep. Some of the shells are from before I was born, when my parents went to the Bahamas. Some are from Cadiz, Spain on the Mediterranean ocean, some are from my honeymoon in Kauai, Hawaii and most are from Half moon Bay in California, where I frequented yearly with family and friends.

When I look at the shells, I don’t have vivid memories of collecting them, nor could I tell you where I found each one, but I can tell you that I love that they sit in a little bowl, all mixed together, somehow representing the happiest moments in my journey.

I’ve loved all the pictures you take. They always seem to capture a precious moment and it comes across. Whether it’s human or not. Great job, Kristin. :)

Very cool shells! I can’t say I’ve ever found any that pretty on the beaches I’ve visited…

I have a friend who has a similar collection from the beaches she’s visited, but her collection is little vials of sand.

    Great post.

Not only is the photograph nice to look at, but you’ve painted a beautiful picture with your words.

(By the way, I’ve sort of done the same thing with rocks!)
